Highly recommend. Lovely food and sweet atmosphere. We had the beef and chicken pastry as well as this salmon roe open face on rye. Must go.

Delicious food! I've eaten from here on many occasions. From the coffee to their peroshki (savory hand pies), to the open fire grilled kebabs, this cafe is wonderful! All food is made in their kitchen daily. They have soups, dumplings/manti, a variety of salads, chicken dishes, fish dishes, lots of cold beverages and beautiful cakes and desserts! The staff is friendly and helpful. During the day they have a Plov chef that makes traditional Plov in a massive cauldron which can be purchased by the pound. YUM!

Freshly made pastries and always yummy. Service was also great and friendly. They set up an outdoor seating area after the pandemic. Strongly recommend it!

Starbucks by the beach was closed. So I used Yelp to find Kaffeine 231, and I am so glad I did!! I got an amazing coffee drink that was a Kaffeine special. It was so delicious!! I also ordered a piece of coffee cake that was maybe the best coffee cake that I have ever had. I love this place!! I am going to bring my wife and have some of their more savory lunch/ dinner items next time!

Don't let the name fool you, this is more than a coffee shop. Ordered takeout from here for dinner. Kebabs, liver, grilled salmon, salad, samsa, potatoes, etc. Food was very good and super fresh. Cheap too. Lots of bang for the buck. In addition to their coffee, they have a big selection of cakes and baked goods. I didn't try but definitely will next time.

This was my first time in a Brighton beach area, so also the 1st time seeing this establishment. To say that i was impressed is understatement. From glass windows i could see (Plov = specifically cooked rice with lamb or beef and vegetables) and it looked so tempting! I stepped inside to see the variety of dishes and really appreciated the assortment of sweet and savory options. Everything looked very authentic and appealing, as a Russian I wanted to eat it all. I was very hungry and got that rice with lamb, when ordering it i was also offered a boiled egg, cooked garlic, some cherry tomatoes. Not only it was a perfect portion for 2 people, but also a great leftover food for another meal. The quality and flavor was outstanding. Every time i was closing my eyes, I saw Russian food fairs where i could get such a divine dish. Employees / owners were very kind and hospitable, they made me feel welcome and at home. I will be back!

I came in for a cappuccino before work. Quick and friendly service. The cappuccino was just the boost of energy I needed. There was an option of brown sugar, white and even liquid sugar. I only saw the option of regular milk. While I did not have a sweet tooth when I entered looking at the choices of desserts they had was very tempting. I will plan to return to try one of the desserts.
